Introduction
Rob takes awesome photos and has quite a way with words so he wanted to bring this all together in his own site.
Purpose and Goals
Rob’s photos are huge so we needed a way to handle all that data. Sanity and Gatsby to the rescue! I wanted Rob to be as independent as he could be as he is a prolific photo taker. He can add categories to his photos and the site will create the menu system, which also allows for a slicker user experience.
Spotlight
I wanted a quick and easy way for Rob to add his own blogs in the CMS so utilised Sanity portable text to do so. Rob can add his text and images in an easy fashion in the CMS and the layout of the images on the blog page is all handled smoothly.
Lessons Learned
I learned more about the GraphQL queries in Gatsby, how to use portable text and how to deliver an informative and concise demo of how to use a CMS to a client.
